Red River Balloon Rally BIG success

Hot weather and a change of locations did not stop the largest crowds ever from attending the Red River Balloon Rally on Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12.
Due to wet grounds, the rally was moved from LSUS to the Brookshire’s Grocery Arena grounds. The new location proved to be very popular and convenient.
The heat index in high 90s/low 100s was no challenge for  the large crowds that attended the many events at the rally. 
Live entetainment, a kids’ zone, professional kite flying and the balloon glows were big hits. Each day was capped off by a great fireworks display.
The Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission is to be commended for hosting this event and especially for the hard work necessitated  by the change in locations.
