Victim of single car accident dies
Shreveport Police have released the name of a Bossier City, Louisiana man who died Sunday morning following a single vehicle crash that occurred along a stretch of Clyde Fant Parkway last Friday.
Just before 6:00 p.m. Friday May 17, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to the 1800 block of Clyde Fant Parkway relative to a single vehicle accident that occurred just off the roadway. Upon officers arrival at the scene, they located driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 39 year old Brett Shoebridge, still inside his 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV which after flipping, had come to rest on it's roof. Shoebridge was transported by the Shreveport Fire Department to LSUHSC with what was described as potentially life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday May 19, 2013, authorities were informed that Brett Shoebridge succumbed to injuries he sustained during the accident. While the crash is yet under investigation and no exact cause has been determined; evidence recovered at the scene suggests that speed may have been a causative factor in the accident.
