Troop F Capt. Reeves promoted to major
The Louisiana State Police Troop F Commander, Kevin Reeves, has been promoted to Major over Region 3 patrol. Region 3 consists of Troop F in Monroe, Troop G in Bossier City and Troop E in Alexandria.
Reeves lives in Jackson Parish and has been with the Louisiana State Police for 23 years.
Reeves began his career in 1990 where he worked at Troop A in Baton Rouge as a motorcycle officer and a member of the DWI Task Force. In 1993, he was transferred to Troop F, where he worked in the patrol divisions as a resident trooper in Jackson Parish.
Reeves was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 1998 and worked as a shift supervisor. In 2003, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and served as the Troop F executive officer until his appointment as the troop commander in November of 2008.
Reeves says that he is honored to be the new commanding officer of Region 3. “I am looking forward to the new challenge and I am excited to be able to now serve central and as well as all of north Louisiana,” stated Reeves. “I will always treasure my time in Monroe. I will make sure that troopers work day and night to keep our roads safe and continue to work with all law enforcement agencies in our area.”
