Victim airlifted to LSUHSC with gunshot wound to chest
A 17-year-old is behind bars in Desoto Parish after shooting a 21-year-old in the chest, stemming from an argument over a television set.
The Desoto Parish Sheriffs Office responded to a 911 call of a gunshot victim in the 300 block of Cordova Road Grand Cane Louisiana.
Upon arrival officers located a gunshot victim William Christopher Dowling, age 21, of Mansfield Louisiana shot once in the chest area with a 40-caliber handgun, the suspect Stephen Brian Raybon II, age 17, of Grand Cane Louisiana was taken into custody at location without incident.
The victim was conscious and talking, he was air lifted to LSU Medical Center and listed in stable condition.
A juvenile witness at the scene confirmed that the two subjects had gotten into a verbal argument over a television, the victim walk out to a rear porch area of the residence to set down, shortly there after the suspect approached victim with a handgun he had obtained from a gun cabinet inside the residence after a brief exchange of words the suspect shot the victim once in the chest.
The suspect placed a 911 call stating that he had shot the victim.
Raybon was booked into the Desoto Parish Detention Center on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
