This year's Bossier Dixie Machine Pitch All-Star team are the 2013 Dixie Youth Machine Pitch National Champions.

The team had an overall record of 39-6.  At the district tournament in Minden, LA they competed against 14 teams from North Louisiana.  The team finished pool play undefeated (6-0) beating teams from Shreveport, Ruston, Farmerville, Mansfield/Logansport and two teams from Minden.  Ultimately  the team finished 3rd in bracket play at the District Tournament behind the Shreveport Nationals (2nd) and the Minden Continental All-Stars (1st).

That finish qualified Bossier to advance to the State tournament where the competed against 24 teams across the entire state of Louisiana.  Once again the boys finished pool play undefeated (5-0) with wins over Morgan City, Mamou, Deridder, Tioga and Rayville.  However in bracket play they fell one game short and lost the State Championship game to the Shreveport Nationals.  Their 2nd place finish in State qualified them to advance to the Region III World Series in West Monroe, LA.

The Machine Pitch World Series combined the best 5 teams from the state of Texas, the best 4 teams from the State of Arkansas and the best 4 teams from the state of Louisiana and the host team.  It was at the World Series where the boys stepped up their game and really started to play baseball.  The boys once again went undefeated in pool play (6-0), beating teams from Longview, TX, Athens, TX, Texarkana, AR, DeQueen, AR, Haughton, LA and Panola, TX (The Texas State Champions).

Monday's bracket play game pitted the remaining 4 teams which amazing enough were Bossier City vs. the Shreveport Nationals and Minden Continental vs. the Haughton All-Stars.  That's right 4 teams from the same district (district 4 in Louisiana) all made it to the Championship round at the World Series.

Facing their season long nemesis (the team that eliminated them from the District and Stat tournaments, Bossier City took the lead and never looked back in a 16-5 blow out.  The atmosphere was electric and the stands were rocking.   Next up was the Haughton, LA All-Stars and the boys won that game in convincing fashion 10-0 to qualify for the National Championship Game.

In the National Championship game Bossier faced Minden and took and early 3-0 lead and held on with stellar defense and timely hitting to win the National Championship game 6-1.  In the World Series Bossier was the only team to go undefeated 9-0 and scored 102 runs while only giving up 20 runs scored. The team finished the season with an amazing .569 batting average, scored 591 runs in 45 games and hit 140 doubles, 34 triples and 11 home runs.  They only had 3 strikeouts in 1,327 plate appearances.
