Shreveport Police have arrested two men wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery that occurred earlier this month in west Shreveport.  Back on July 2, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to investigate a reported armed robbery of an individual in the 2500 block of Mabel Street.  Officers responding to the scene, were advised by the victim that she was beat and robbed by two men, one of who was armed with a gun.  Investigators were able to gather information linking 20 year old Timothy Jackson and 18 year old Quincy Randle to the robbery.  Upon securing arrest warrants for both men, their images were aired on local television stations and Crime Stoppers offered rewards for information leading to their arrests.

Four days since the airing of their images, both Jackson and Randle were subsequently arrested, thanks largely impart to viewers phoning in information to Crime Stoppers.  Authorities, acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, located and arrested Timothy Jackson on July 29, 2013 in the 1800 block of Clay Street.  Police, on July 30, 2013, arrested Quincy Randle in the 2500 block of Corbitt Street after receiving yet another Crime Stoppers tip.  Both men were booked into the Shreveport City Jail on outstanding warrants for armed robbery. The arrests of the two suspects in connection with the alleged robbery, are testament to the results achieved by working in concert with citizens and law enforcement in the continuous effort to prevent crime.
