Dry, hot weather leads to burn ban for Bossier

burn ban

Beginning immediately, a burn ban is being issued for Bossier Parish.

This burn ban will remain in effect as long as the present conditions exist of less than average rain, high temperatures and very  dry vegetation.

The fire departments realize that this is an inconvenience for some, but it is also a dangerous situation. The fire chiefs will be watching the conditions daily to assure that the ban only lasts as long as necessary.

Those seeking a special circumstance approval, such as contractors, should contact the fire department that serves the particular area in question to seek approval from the fire chief.
