Shreveport police to conduct safety checkpoint
Shreveport Police Department
Shreveport police will conduct a safety checkpoint tonight (Friday, Sept. 27) in eastern Shreveport.
The checkpoint will begin at 10 p.m. and continue until 2 a.m. Saturday.
The checkpoint is part of a collaborative effort between multiple agencies to emphasize our commitment to make the streets of our city safe for everyone.
Officers will be checking for impaired drivers and any other violations that would compromise the safety of our citizens.
The Louisiana Highway Commission will be utilizing its “BAT Mobile” as part of the continuing effort to curb the number of those impaired drivers who recklessly endanger the lives of many.
