Continuing investigation yields arrests of three suspects in shooting death
Three people are behind bars this afternoon following an ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred last week in west Shreveport.
Back on Saturday October 12, 2013 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Shreveport Police investigators responded to the 3700 block of Hearne Avenue to investigate the shooting death of 28 year old Johnathan Davis, who died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the back. Davis was shot during an exchange of gunfire between a group of subjects gathered on the parking lot of a convenience store.
During the course of the investigation, police detectives gathered video surveillance from the store, and later released images of two vehicles authorities believe were directly involved in the shooting. Since the release of the images, police have been able to link a local woman and two men to the crime. Shreveport Police investigators arrested 26 year old Natarsha Howard, 27 year old Carlos Edwards along with 19 year old Terry Johnson, all of Shreveport in connection to the murder. Howard faces a single count of Accessory after the fact to Second Degree Murder, while Edwards and Johnson each face charges of Second Degree Murder. Following interviews with detectives, all three suspects were subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing at this hour.
