Police detectives have arrested a juvenile in connection with a stabbing that occurred Thursday morning in west Shreveport.

At approximately 9:24 a.m. on October 31, 2013, Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to a home in the 6300 block of Tinker Street relative to a stabbing. Upon arrival patrolmen found 32 year old Brad Stephens suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso and a laceration to his face. Stephens was subsequently transported to University Health Center by the Shreveport Fire Department with what has been described as a non-life-threatening injury.

Detectives immediately responded to the scene of the crime and, upon further investigation, discovered Stephens and a family member, later identified as a 13 year old male, were involved in some sort of altercation that culminated in a physical encounter during which the juvenile allegedly produced a knife and attacked the victim. Authorities immediately took the teenager into custody and he has been booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center on one count of aggravated battery.
