Caddo Crime Stoppers to present seventh annual flapjack fund-raiser
Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers will partner with Applebee’s Restaurant, 9088 Mansfield Road, Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8-10 a.m. for its seventh annual Flapjack Fundraiser.
The money raised will be used for supporting the agency’s general maintenance fund and to defray some administrative and educational costs in running the program.
Additionally, money raised will also be used for piloting new programs and purchasing materials to maximize the distribution of Crime Stoppers’ message throughout the community.
A $5 ticket entitles participants to a professionally prepared pancake breakfast, including juice and/or coffee served by the Crime Stoppers board of directors and other surprise guest servers.
Participants will also receive special Crime Stoppers “thank you” items to show their appreciation for citizens’ support. Children will be dazzled and amazed by a variety of displays and CC the Clown, a retired child psychologist, one of the best balloon artists in the parish.
In addition to getting a good breakfast, guests can join Crime Stoppers in supporting the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana so they can provide for the needs of others during this often stressful time of year. Supporters are asked to bring a non-perishable food item with them to the breakfast.
Tickets are available at the door or by e- mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 673-7000.
