Narcotics operation lands 21 behind bars

 Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw have announced the arrests of 21 people on felony and misdemeanor charges following an operation conducted last Friday, Nov. 15.

       The Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit, the Caddo Special Response Team and the Louisiana State Police conducted the operation at a hotel in the 400 block of Pete Harris Drive in response to complaints in the area involving drug sales and prostitution.

       As a result of the operation, law enforcement officers were able to buy and seize drugs, confiscate weapons and make numerous arrests. A total of 14 felony and seven misdemeanor arrests were made along with the execution of four search warrants at the hotel.

During the arrests, agents seized approximately 53.8 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, 107 assorted pills, three handguns and $811 in cash.

The suspects were booked at the Caddo Correctional Center and the Shreveport City Jail.

The following people were arrested during the operation: a juvenile suspect on a charge of possession of marijuana; Monisha S. Wilson, 24, interference with a police officer; Larry Dean Devereaux, 54, possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); Clifford Mosley, 35, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and illegal possession of a firearm; Rodrickus Dewayne Ray, 34, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and illegal possession of a firearm; Antoin Danell Thomas, 38, soliciting for prostitution; James Calvin Barmore, 57, soliciting for prostitution; Robert Wiliams, 66, soliciting for prostitution; Donald Ray Harris, 57, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a fugitive warrant; Shericka Marston, 26, interference with police; Martha Sue Jackson, 37, possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); Vassie Latrice Dillard, 42, possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); Reginald Cordell Pea, 27, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and on a fugitive warrant; John L. Marston, 31, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; Latroy Deshun Johnson, 28, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; William Albert Orourke, 50, possession of drug paraphernalia; Isabelle Smith, 52, interference with police and possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); Michael Willard McCoy, 54, possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); Victor Veron Davis, 26,  possession of marijuana and on a fugitive warrant; Bertha Brown, 55, possession of schedule II drugs (cocaine); and Dalone Raynard Walpool II, 25, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of schedule II drugs with intent to distribute.
