CSO investigating west Caddo shooting

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital Monday night.
At about 5:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office received information that a man who had been shot in the shoulder was at a convenience store at West 70th and Buncombe Road.
The victim, Ricky Blomgreen, 26, of the 3000 block of Asbury Lane in Shreveport, was then taken to University Health for treatment of his injuries.
Meanwhile, a second victim, 26-year-old Vincent Efferson of the 540 block of Chuck A Drive in Shreveport, went by private vehicle to Willis- Knighton Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the knee.
Detectives say the shooting occurred inside Blomgreen’s residence at 5457 Asbury Lane. It is believed the shooting was drugrelated.
So far one arrest has been made. Whitney Lorraine Cox, 28, of 5457 Asbury Lane, was arrested for obstruction of justice and criminal mischief by providing false information in the case.
The investigation is continuing.
