Authorities seeking help in identifying S'port-Barksdale business burglar
A suspect is being sought by police following a series of business burglaries that occurred overnight in east Shreveport.
Just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday November 28, 2013, Shreveport Police officers responded to a business burglar in the 1100 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway at Cindies Fine Clothing store where they discovered that someone had entered the business through the front glass doors. Within a short time, patrolmen discovered that several other businesses in the area had also been burglarized in the same manner. Officers learned of similar damage and items stolen from City Gear Clothing Store and also Tiger Vypes, both located in the 1200 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway and George’s Grill located in the 100 block of East Kings Highway.
Shreveport Police patrol officers are now searching for a black male suspect that evaded police capture after fleeing from a large U-Haul truck during a traffic stop last night, which officers suspects to have been connected to the business burglaries. Shreveport Police detectives are still continuing the investigation and are working to secure all evidence that would lead to the suspect’s arrest.
