A Shreveport man now faces criminal charges following his arrest in connection with the burglary of a Shreveport business last month.

Back on November 15, 2013, Shreveport Police were called to investigate the burglary of the Wholesale Tire Company located in the 900 block of Grimmett Drive in north Shreveport. During investigator's probe of the incident, surveillance video from inside the business helped lead authorities to the identity of one of two men captured on camera.  Authorities with the Shreveport Police Department's Property Crimes Unit were successful in procuring a warrant for the arrest of the suspect, identified as 44 year old Steven Hightower of the 200 block of Wall Street.

Hightower was located by police and taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and now faces a single count of simple burglary.  Hightower, who is currently being housed at the Caddo Correctional Center, was interviewed by detectives regarding his alleged involvement in the crime.  Authorities are still seeking the identity of the second man as the investigation continues.
