Woman charged following stabbing
Shreveport Police Department
A Shreveport woman is behind bars, and a man narrowly escaped serious injury after being stabbed Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 2:30 p.m., Shreveport patrol officers were called to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Patzman Street in reference to a male victim who had been stabbed there.
When officers arrived, they made contact with the victim, 45-yearold Bobby Powell of Shreveport, who was transported to University Health Medical Center by fire department medics.
Violent-crimes investigators gathered information and evidence at the scene of the crime and were able to link 29-year-old Amy Williams of Shreveport to the stabbing of Powell.
It is believed that an argument between the two led to the stab bing.
Williams, who is Powell’s girlfriend, was arrested on scene at the home and later transported by officers to the Shreveport City Jail, where she was booked on a single count of aggravated battery.
