Ongoing: “Autographing History,” an exhibit of 54 documents, letters and receipts bearing the signatures of famous historical figures including presidents George Washington, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, Benjamin Franklin, Napoleon Bonaparte, and many more. The collection on loan from Gloria B. Meyer of Shreveport and the late Charlton E. Meyer Jr. is on display at the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum, 3015 Greenwood Road. Every third Saturday of the month: Southern Christian Writer’s Club, meets from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Calvary Abundant Life Tabernacle, corner of Bethel Road and Highway 84 East in Logansport, La. Jan. 10: Church Women United Annual Meeting, The theme of this year’s gathering is “Breaking Down the Doors of Injustice,” and the program will include a business meeting which will include the election and installation of officers and a Service of Remembrance for the women in our churches who died in 2013.
