Video catches suspect stealing wheels


PRESS RELEASE Bossier City Police Department

The Bossier City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who was caught on video stealing a pair of motor vehicle wheels from outside a local pawns shop.

Bossier Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect The incident occurred last month at the Cash in a Flash pawn shop in the 4600 block of East Texas Street.

Video taken by a security camera captured the incident and shows the suspect driving up to the side of the building in what appears to be an older model silver Chevrolet pickup truck. The suspect then exits and loads the wheels into the back of the pickup truck.

Before the suspect drove off, an employee who was unaware that the theft had occurred made brief contact with the suspect and described him as a black male with a gray goatee. The suspect was also wearing an orange pullover, collared shirt, black pants, a black baseball-type cap and black shoes.

Anyone who can help police identify the suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 424-4100. They can also submit a tip via the Bossier Crime Stop pers
