Drug-activity complaints lead to arrest

A suspect was arrested on drug charges last Friday, March 7, when the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed a narcotics search warrant after receiving citizen complaints of alleged illegal drug activity.

Agents executed the warrant at a residence located in the 2200 block of Morningside Drive in west Shreveport.

Agents also conducted a simultaneous investigation at a second home located in the same block of Morningside Drive.

The search at the initial Morningside Drive residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 112 grams of marijuana, along with a .40 caliber Smith & Wes son semi-automatic pistol.

Agents arrested 24-year-old Terrell Pennywell of Shreveport during the operation.

Pennywell was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distributed and possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance.

During the investigation at the second Morningside Drive resi dence, agents seized approximately 1,550 grams of marijuana, along with electronic scales.

Agents expect to make additional arrests in this case.
