Suspects charged with trespass, theft
The DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office has charged three suspects with various counts of thefts and trespassing involving a complaint of scrap metal and wiring being removed from an uninhabited mobile home off Highway 191 near Logansport, La.
The sheriff’s office had a previous complaint of the same nature at this location on Monday after receiving a call.
Deputies caught the suspects at the location on Wednesday in the process of removing more metal items from the residence.
Deputies booked the following suspects into the DeSoto Parish Detention Center: 46-year-old Curtis Bryan Estes of Joaquin, Texas; 20- year-old Joshua Douglas Prewitt of Joaquin, Texas; and 39-year-old Kelly Michelle Rogers of Logansport, La. All three were charged with three counts of criminal trespass and three counts of theft under $500.
All three suspects admitted to their involvement in the thefts and having been to the residence on three prior occasions, taking the metal and selling it at a scrap yard in Center, Texas.
All three suspects have prior arrest records.
