Woman faces charges in alleged kidnapping
A Shreveport woman has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping in west Shreveport.
Just after 11 p.m. Saturday, Shreveport police were called to a home in the 600 block of West 71st Street in reference to a reported kidnapping. At the residence, police made contact with an adult female, who told them she had been the victim of a kidnapping at gunpoint by a woman known to her.
The victim said the incident occurred when she and a friend arrived home to discover the suspect was hiding inside the residence. The suspect, identified as Keatre Daniels, 21, of Shreveport, reportedly threatened to shoot the victim’s friend unless the victim accompanied her.
Daniels reportedly took the victim by force, ordering her to drive to various locations in Shreveport. The woman said she was released unharmed after being held captive for up to two hours.
On Monday, authorities located Daniels at a home located in the 9300 block of Mansfield Road. She was taken into custody without incident and, based on evidence gathered during the investigation, was charged with a single count of second-degree kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Following her arrest, Daniels was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
