Cpl. Breck Scott Takes Suspected Drunk Driver Inside Police Station - By Chris Redford

It was rude awakening for a Shreveport man found sleeping on the ground in front of this truck.

Police say Michael Bryant, 34, had parked his truck right in the middle of the on ramp of 3132 and Flournoy Lucus.

"He walked around to the front of it, laid down and fell asleep," said Corporal Breck Scott.

Scott says a passerby noticed Bryant passed out on the ground and called 911.  "

"Paramedics and I arrived about the same time and he was sound asleep," said Scott.

While paramedics were checking Bryant, Scott says they could smell a strong odor of alcohol.

Investigators say Bryant blew a .28 which is almost four times the legal limit.

Cpl. Scott booked Bryant into the city jail for his fourth felony DWI. Authorities say Bryant admitted to driving his truck just before parking it and passing out.
