Large Fight Breaks Out After Shooting In Vivian

Caddo parish deputies are investigating a shooting in Vivian at this hour.

Vivian Police Chief Ryan Nelson says a large fight involving about a hundred people broke out just minutes after the shooting.

"We had to call Caddo for backup and they had to call more units to back them up," said Chief Nelson.

Nelson says it started when Willie Wilson was shot in the buttocks at the corner of S. Pardue and E. Bailey.

Wilson is being treated at North Caddo Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

Chief Nelson says the shooter is believed to be one of twin brothers, but investigators are trying to determine which twin is responsible.

"He's at large right now, but we'll find him," said Nelson.

Authorities have secured the scene and the crowd has thinned considerably.

Chief Nelson says Caddo will be handling the case.
