Deputy terminated after attacking his wife
Police say he worked his wife over at Mardi Gras Parade
A Bossier sheriff's deputy arrested over the weekend for domestic abuse battery has been fired, according to Bossier Sheriff's Lt. Bill Davis.
Chad Sepulvado, 23, was arrested Saturday evening during the Krewe Of Centaur parade.
Authorities say officers were called to Clyde Fant Parkway to investigate some sort of fight involving several people. When officers arrived, they say Sepulvado had just attacked his wife and was involved in another altercation with a man who tried to intervene.
Investigators say Sepulvado got angry with his wife, struck her across the head with some type of plastic object, choked her then dragged her down an embankment. The deputy is also accused of attacking a family friend who tried to stop him.
Davis said Sepulvado, of the 2900 block of Le Oaks Drive in Bossier City had been with the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department since March 4, 2011.
