Two charged in shooting in west Shreveport

Two men face charges in the aftermath of a shooting that sent both of them to the hospital Monday night.

Shreveport police violent crimes investigators have filed charges against two men involved in a shooting that took place in the 2900 block of Glenwick Street just before midnight Monday.

Shreveport police patrol officers were called to a home located in the 2900 block of Glenwick Street in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival at the home, 20-year-old Sebastian Tay lor was found suffering a single gunshot wound to the upper body. Taylor was transported from the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department in serious but stable condition to University Health Medical Center.

Authorities have gathered information linking Taylor and 21- year-old Jamarion Young to the shooting. It is believed that Young and Taylor each sustained injuries at the hands of the other.

Both men have been charged with illegal use of a weapon for their roles in the shooting.

Young suffered a single gunshot wound to the arm, and his injuries were considered non life-threatening. He was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor, who is now in police custody, continues to recover at University Health Medical Center in Shreveport.
