A local mother is pleading with the public's help in locating her son's English bull dog that is believed to have been stolen or picked up near Caddo Lake early Tuesday morning.

When 14-year-old Luke Herbert sought out a job over the summer to work with his uncle, he saved up almost his entire earnings to buy himself an English Bull Dog puppy.  On Tuesday morning at about 7:30 a.m., Luke's mother's boyfriend Tim Ogletree turned the dog out for a walk and the dog has not been seen since.

Luke, who lost his father to a heart attack at the age of only two, is no stranger to tragedy.  In fact he lost a Labrador Retriever last year under similar strange circumstances, and there is no doubt why Luke, an only child, loved and adored "Beefy" - the English bull dog that went missing on Tuesday.  In fact, Luke and Beefy have become inseparable companions, only departing from each other during school.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of "Beefy" are asked to contact Tami Herbert at (318) 996-0533 or on her cell phone at (318) 393-9651.  You can also reach Luke's uncle Ken Lawler at (318) 458-8388.  A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the safe return of Beefy.
