Police seek suspected wallet thief

The Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force along with Bossier Crime Stoppers are asking the public for assistance with identifying and locating a woman suspected of stealing a pair of women’s wallets at a local business and then making unauthorized purchases with the victims’ bank cards.

The theft took place in April at the Sheer Rezults Hair Salon in the 4500 block of Barksdale boulevard.

The suspect entered the salon and took the wallets out of two purses and then left unbeknownst to the victims.

The suspect then used bank cards that were inside the wallets and made more than $700 in purchases at the Dollar General Store in the 4600 block of Barksdale Boulevard and the Wal-Mart in the 2500 block of Airline Drive that same day.

The female suspect was caught on security camera video exiting the Wal-Mart and leaving in a blue pickup truck.

The suspect has black shoulder-length hair and was wearing a black T-shirt with a red-and-white graphic on the front, black pants and flip-flop-type sandals. She was also carrying a white purse.

Anyone who can help authorities identify this suspect is asked to call Bossier Crime Stoppers at 424-4100 or submit a tip online at bossiercrimestoppers.org.

Callers to Crime Stoppers are reminded they can remain totally anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
