Foster Anderson

Authorities need your help to find an elderly man who apparently walked away from his Shreveport home yesterday and has not been seen or heard from since.

At approximately 9:54 a.m. on February 7, 2013 Shreveport Police patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Sycamore Avenue relative to a missing person. Upon arrival, officers contacted a family member of 87 year old Foster Anderson, who reported that she stopped by to check on Mr. Anderson, who lives there on Sycamore Avenue, and discovered he apparently walked away from the apartments and has not been seen since. Officers talked with other residents of the apartments and, based on information gathered during those interviews, believe Mr. Anderson left his home some time yesterday.

Mr. Anderson, who is reportedly suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, is described as a black male, approximately five feet seven inches tall weighing about 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a beige jacket and blue jeans. He is also believed to be wearing a bracelet engraved with his name and other identifying information. Patrol officers and detectives have been in the area diligently searching for Mr. Anderson. If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Foster Anderson, they are asked to immediately call Shreveport Police Headquarters at 318-673-BLUE(2583), 911, or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373
