Domestic dispute ends in stabbing; arrest
A local woman has been arrested following a domestic dispute which sent a man to the hospital early Sunday morning in west Shreveport.
Just after 5:30 a.m. on Sunday June 29, 2014, Shreveport Police officers were called to an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Greenwood Lane relative to a battery. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located 29 year old Brian Green suffering a severe laceration to the neck. Green was rushed to University Medical Center by the Shreveport Fire Department for treatment of injuries initially considered to be life threatening. Following surgery, Green was listed in serious but stable condition.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes investigators were dispatched to the scene to assist in the matter. Authorities located and detained 20 year old Shenikia Hall, who was located at a nearby apartment. While investigating the crime, information and evidence linking Hall to the stabbing was gathered. It was further learned, Hall and Green were involved in a dating relationship when Hall reportedly grew upset after she observed Green engaged in conversation with a female acquaintance. Hall reportedly made threats to physically harm Green. It is believed Green was stabbed by Hall after he arrived back at an apartment which he and Hall shared. Hall, following interviews with investigators, was transported and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a single charge of Attempted Second Degree Murder. The case remains under investigation.
