Shooting leaves man injured

 Detectives are working to apprehend the person responsible for an Tuesday night shooting in west Shreveport that injured a local man.

 

Just after 11:00 p.m. on July 8, 2014, Shreveport Police officers responded to contact a reported shooting victim at University Health Center in the 1500 block of Kings Highway. Upon arrival, patrolmen interviewed 20 year old Jamarcia Houston who was suffering from a non-life-threatening wound to the leg. Houston advised patrolmen a known male suspect shot at him during the course of a dispute between the two men outside of a home on Parkridge Street. Authorities believe shrapnel from the projectile grazed the victim’s leg.

 

Investigators were notified and, based on information and evidence gathered during the early stages of their ongoing inquiry, believe they have identified the man who shot at Houston and are working to obtain a warrant for his arrest.
