Suspect in Airport Casino robbery sought


Shreveport police are looking for a suspect who robbed a west Shreveport business early Monday morning.

Just after 4 a.m., Shreveport police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery of the Airport Casino located in the 5200 block of Monkhouse Drive.

When patrolmen arrived, they learned that a male suspect entered the casino and presented a note to an employee demanding cash.

The employee complied with the robber’s demands and was uninjured during the ordeal.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Tactical Robbery Unit arrived on the scene and launched their inquiry into the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male of average height with a slender build who was last seen wearing a green shirt.

Authorities are working to recover surveillance footage in efforts to identify and apprehend the person responsible for this crime.
