Television show featuring local auction will air on Wednesday
Travel Channel will air local episode of Baggage Battles Wednesday at 8pm CST.
The Travel Channel will feature a Shreveport area auction this Wednesday on its hit TV show Baggage Battles.
Baggage Battles, which has three teams of auction experts, travels across the country to America's best auctions to find great deals on everything from police seizures, unclaimed evidence and even unclaimed airport baggage.
The Travel Channel filmed two episodes in December here in the Ark-La-Tex area featuring auctions conducted by the Lawler Auction Company out of Shreveport. The first episode, which airs this Wednesday (Feb. 13) at 8:00 PM CST, will feature a Government Surplus Auction held for the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Marshal's Service and the City of Shreveport.
On Feb. 27 the network will air another auction conducted by Lawler Auction Company at a farm estate sale held in northern Bossier Parish near Benton, Louisiana, where auctioneers sold antiques and other collectibles to the highest bidder.
The show usually features the local area where the auctions are held and they usually take items that their auction experts buy to local experts to see how well they did on their bidding at the auctions.
