Shooting victim ID’ed


The Bossier City Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning at a residence in the 2900 block of Rebel Drive.

Police were called to the scene just after 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found the victim, later identified as 30-year-old Christopher Paul Davis of Shreveport, with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Police say Davis, who had been staying at the residence, was inside the house when a male suspect entered through the front door and attempted to rob him and two others who were also in the home.

At one point during the incident, the gunman fired his weapon, striking the victim.

Two other men were not injured.

The gunman then reportedly fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Bossier City Fire Department personnel took the injured Davis to University Health Medical Center in Shreveport, where he was last listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slender build and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
