Suspect in hotel robbery arrested
Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for two others who reportedly robbed a man at a southeast Shreveport hotel last month.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on July 22, Shreveport police patrol officers were dispatched to the Hampton Inn and Suites in the 8300 block of Millicent Way in reference to a reported robbery.
When officers arrived at the hotel, they learned that three male suspects allegedly robbed the victim there on the parking lot, striking him on the head and stealing his wallet.
Detectives received a tip through Shreveport- Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers identifying 17-year-old Isaiah Childs as one of the persons responsible for the robbery.
Based on that lead as well as other information gathered during their continuing inquiry, authorities took Child, of the 6500 block of Clift Avenue in Shreveport, into custody Monday afternoon. He was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of seconddegree robbery.
Investigators continue to work to identify and apprehend the other suspects involved in this crime.
