Shreveport Police Recover Stolen Moving Truck - By Chris Redford

A stolen moving truck out of Webster parish has been recovered in Shreveport thanks to two very alert police officers.

"It was stolen last week by a man who's believed to have also stolen a limousine out of Shreveport," said Webster Parish Sheriff's Detective Scotty Tucker.

Shreveport Cpl. Chase Crow and Officer Peter Pollitt found the yellow box truck less than two hours after dispatchers sent out a BOLO (be on the look out) for the vehicle which as reportedly in the Shreveport area.

"We knew it had to be it.  There are not too many old Penske trucks rolling around," said Pollitt.

The truck was found parked and unlocked in the 3300 block of McWillie Drive.

"There were a bunch of ink catridges, computer components and a generator in the back," said Crow.

Webster authorities say the truck was stolen from a trucking company February 7th.  Tucker says the man who's suspected of taking it is Dennis Small.

Small is currently behind bars for allegedly stealing a $80,000 limousine.  The limo was recovered a few days later in Minden.

Investigators say Small's brother, Jarvis, is also believed to be involved, but he remains at large.
