Bossier City police are investigating Wednesday's double shooting inside a beauty shop as a murder-suicide.

It happened inside the Textures & Tones Hair Salon and Boutique in the 1600 block of Airline drive just after 4 p.m.

Investigators have determined Lavance Deshannon Willaims, 43, shot his estranged wife, Lashontay Jimese Lewis, 33, inside the business which houses a tax office Lewis operated.  Both people lived in Minden.

Detectives say it appears Williams shot Lewis during an argument then shot himself.

Spokesman Mark Natale says there were several people including the couple's 11-year old son inside the shop at the time of the shooting.
