Community Bank of Louisiana honors former chairman

PRESS RELEASE

At its regular Board of Director’s meeting on February 12, 2013, the Board of Directors of Community Bank of Louisiana unanimously named the banks board room the Walter E. Dorroh Sr.’s Board Room in honor of it’s former Chairman. Dorroh served as Chairman of Community Bank of Louisiana for 37years, from 1976 until his death in January of 2013. His career in banking spanned eight decades and three states. A graduate of Lou isiana State University in Baton Rouge and a veteran of World War II, he saw Community Bank of Louisiana grow from a $20 million dollar institution in 1976 to over $350 million in total assets with nine offices and 90 employees. William E. Dorroh, President and Chief Executive Officer stated, “His leadership for our bank and our community will be missed but the legacy and memory of Walter Dorroh will continue not only through the honor of having the Board Room named after him, but also through the many families and business he helped in his 80 year career.”

Community Bank of Louisiana is a home owned and operated Sub Chapter S institution located in DeSoto, Caddo, and Bossier Parishes. For the past three years it has been named among the top institutions in the Nation by both the American Bankers Association and the Independent Community Bankers Association. The bank was founded in 1901.
