An officer working off duty security at Pierre Bossier Mall was notified of a shoplifting at the Sears store involving three females. A member of the store security staff and the officer attempted to stop the three suspects as they ran out of the store.

On July 5, DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint from a mandatory reporter of a possible rape. Detectives were dispatched and discovered that two juveniles were taken to a location by a relative and one juvenile was molested while another juvenile was forced to watch.

According to Mark Natale, Bossier City public information officer, Pasty Maggio was issued a summons June 22 by Bossier City police charging her with false personation for mailing fraudulent letters to several residents in the Greenacres Place neighborhood that claimed to be from the Greenacres Place Homeowners Association.

Edward A. Jordan, 49, of Monroe, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge James on one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a firearm in relation to drug trafficking. He was also sentenced to five years of supervised release.
