BATON ROUGE, La. – On Saturday, May 6, more than 25,000 children across Louisiana are expected to participate in the seventh annual Lemonade Day. This year’s program is set to be the largest to date since entrepreneurs John Georges and Todd Graves introduced the program in 2010.

The department will collect, tag and release 50 fish of various species from the lake. Anglers who land a tagged fish can redeem the tag for prizes including gift certificates, tackle packages and up to $1,000 in cash. The Louisiana GCLA, Caddo Outdoors Bait and Tackle, Caddo Lake Drift In and Southern Smoke BBQ provide rodeo prizes.

Heath Meshell, 34, of Zwolle, La., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote to 168 months in prison on one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and 60 months in prison on one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drugtrafficking crime.

According to the guilty pleas, DEA drug task force agents learned that Ponte was distributing methamphetamine in Shreveport. They recorded her on Jan. 12 setting up sales and then observed her traveling to meet Lopez. Agents arrested the defendants after they arrived at a hotel in separate vehicles.
