On Jan. 20, Crank appeared before Judge Mike Nerren and entered a plea of guilty to one count of theft by fraud, with the state dismissing the other three counts. Crank was sentenced to serve seven years at hard labor, suspended, and placed on four years’ supervised probation.

Agents made numerous undercover purchases of alcoholic beverages and tobacco throughout the city of Shreveport on Thursday, Jan. 29, and Friday, Jan. 30. After confidential informants made purchases of the beverages, agents immediately went into the businesses and cited the individuals selling in violation of state law and city ordinance.
