At about 7:23 a.m. Thursday, Shreveport patrol officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Line Avenue in reference to a shots-fired call. The victim told them while making a banking transaction, a male suspect approached her vehicle as she prepared to drive off.
Shreveport police officers saw two men hitting the window of a parked vehicle in the Sci-Port parking lot at the corner of Clyde Fant Parkway and Crockett Street with burglary tools trying to force their way inside. Both men saw the officers approaching and got inside a vehicle, whereupon a short vehicle pursuit began.
Claudell Staten’s body was discovered by a passing motorist on Ellerbe Road north of Robson Road back on March 20, 1988. He had been shot several times, Sheriff’s detectives said the 44- year-old man was shot during a struggle inside his moving car. He was left outside on the ground after the vehicle crashed.

Lealex Vershaun Bryant, 26, of 1536 W. 58th St. in Shreveport, was allegedly in the center Once at the city jail, however, Bryant got sick and threw up a cocaine rocks and three grams of ule II drugs (crack cocaine) with of a roadway in a vehicle that obstructed the flow of traffic.
Brown was arrested and charged with walking in the roadway, two counts of resisting an officer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, use/ possession of drug paraphernalia, taking contraband to a penal institute and on fugitive warrants for Louisiana Probation and Parole and CCC.
An investigation uncovered by law enforcement revealed that city worker Cartrie Lee Washington Jr., 34, of 244 E. Gregg St. in Shreveport, had sold off brass and copper along with water meters belonging to the water department and the city of Shreveport.
On Tuesday a little after noon, Dr. Michael Acurio, 54, of Benton, turned himself in at the Bossier Maximum Security facility on warrants charging him with second-degree battery, domestic abuse with strangulation, aggravated assault/domestic violence, simple battery and aggravated assault.
