Randy Matthews, the owner of Cash-N-A- Flash Pawn Shop in Bossier City, says the suspect entered his store and wanted to look at a military sniper-style assault rifle with a camo scope on it. When the employee turned her back, the suspect left the store with the assault rifle.

Based on preliminary information gathered during their ongoing inquiry, detectives believe there was some sort of dispute between the cab driver and an onduty airport security officer. As the cab driver allegedly tried to leave the facility there, the officer fired one shot from his duty weapon, striking the vehicle’s front passenger side tire.

On Aug. 9, DeSoto sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on an all-terrain vehicle and dirt bike for being on a public roadway. A deputy ran the vehicle identification numbers from both the ATV and the dirt bike, but they came back with no record. The deputy identified both operators and released them with a verbal warning.
