Cake artists from throughout the region will face off in the competition, which also features a day-long program of cake-decorating classes and demonstrations. The competition is open to the public for general viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Building F on the BPCC campus.

Here’s how it works: Each ticket sold is matched to a duck. Bags with thousands of ducks are emptied into the Red River. As the currents carry the ducks downstream, the fastest duck across the finish line is the winner, and the person whose ticket matches that duck is the winner of the $10,000 prize.
