District 37 State Senator Barrow Peacock (R- Shreveport/Bossier City) and District 5 State Representative Alan Seabaugh (R – Shreveport) welcome three Caddo Parish area Student of the Year regional finalists to the Louisiana Legislature.
Games were originally scheduled to begin Thursday night, April 11th at Walbrook, Benton and Haughton fields for pool play. They were rescheduled to Friday night however, due to the recent rain moving through the area. Local league baseball teams ranging from 7-8 to 13-14, will begin bracket play in the tournament Saturday afternoon.

Haughton High School’s Destination Imagination teams participated in the state tournament at Airline High School on March the ninth. Haughton entered two teams into the competition, both teams have been practicing hard to prepare. Haughton’s Challenge D team ranked third in Improv and our Challenge E team ranked first in structure.

Nearly 500 students from 18 schools participated in the elementary, middle and high school divisions for a variety of prizes, and a chance to compete at the national tournament held in Kentucky. The tournament consisted of seven flights with up to 80 archers shooting per flight.
