First, He would be sinless. In the Bible, we are told Jesus Christ was conceived in his mother's womb by the Holy Spirit. This was revealed to the man who would be His earthly father, Joseph, by an angel.

Do you want Plain Dealing to grow and prosper? The recent article about Tim Cannon and his wife seemed that you were against any type progress or change in the community. The Cannons do have two businesses, but I don’t know that they are failures. The Custom Car shop has been around for several years and has not announced its closing due to failure.

What does Congress have against family farmers and ranchers? The $1.1 trillion spending bill passed last week included the full version of the so-called GIPSA rider passed earlier by the House of Representatives. A rider is a legislative provision attached to a larger spending bill.

Another phone call in the middle of the night. Another notification by my team, “Colonel, we have a fatal crash with four dead in Avoyelles.” As I sit here awake, I can’t help but recall the phone calls I’ve received or made over my seven years as superintendent and 34 years as a state trooper.

Actually, the delivery will be a little late … like two days. And whether the citizens of Shreveport will be happy with Santa’s deliveries —- in the long run — is a story yet to be told. Saturday, Dec. 27, will be historic … and not just for the first Duck Commander Independence Bowl.
