Hallmarq will visit with students from 10 to 11 a.m. and lead an inspirational conversation with them about their future endeavors and fulfilling their dreams.

Louisiana Comic Con, a production of AVC Conventions, will feature a diverse list of celebrity guests from the worlds of comics, film and television, as well as artists, vendors, fan groups and more.

On Monday, Gov. Bobby Jindal announced the special election date for the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and the temporary appointment of Mary Johnson Harris. Harris, the principal for South Highlands Elementary School in Shreveport, will replace Walter Lee as the representative of BESE District 4 on the board.
