Last Thursday, Sept. 28, 35-year-old Chad Lamar Dorsey of 4305 Illinois Ave. was stopped for speeding 80 miles per hour in a 50-mph zone. While pulling him over, a Shreveport police officer saw him reaching under the passenger seat for approximately 45 seconds.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1998 Nissan Frontier operated by 56-year-old Jefferson Clay Rogers of Homer was traveling south on U.S. 79 when for reasons still under investigation, Rogers lost control of the truck, exited the right side of the roadway and overturned.
