Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington held a swearing-in ceremony last week for the newest members of the Bossier Sheriff’s Posse at the Viking Drive Substation. The nine men completed a week-long training regimen that included communications, radio procedures, driving, and various crime scene and patrol functions.

An investigation found that Benjamin C. Crisswell, 18, fired the shot while he and Semaj Saihon Tarver, 17, were on the front porch of Tarver’s home at 6004 Pampus St. Both ran inside the house, where officers located them shortly after arriving on the scene.
