Just after 4 p.m., Shreveport police were called to the 7000 block of Youree Drive in reference to reports that a 61-year-old woman was maced in the eyes and had her purse stolen by two women who fled the scene of the crime in a silver vehicle with temporary plates.

A federal grand jury in Shreveport indicted 54-year-old Andrea Charles Lewis of Shreveport in November 2013. U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Foote presided over the five-day trial, which ended Friday with the jury returning the guilty verdict after deliberating for approximately three hours.

At about 11 p.m. Saturday, the suspect, 33-year-old Jami Sentell Glover of 3235 Penick St. in Shreveport, went to a residence in the 7200 block of Wilshire Drive. There, he reportedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at Bertrum Sweet, stating, “You disrespected my bitch!”.

Caddo sheriff’s deputies arrested a teacher at Northwood High School last Thursday, Feb. 27, for improper behavior with a student. Jared Anderson Honea, 26, of Shreveport, was arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile following an investigation by Sheriff’s Youth Services Detectives James Moore and Jared Marshall.
