Shreveport among target areas for Allstate Recruitment Campaign

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Allstate Insurance Company is ramping up its recruiting campaign searching for 39 additional agency owners in five Southern states this year. The agency expansion is part of an overall growth strategy that calls for increasing Allstate’s auto and property insurance presence in the states of Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi.

“Allstate is offering the right candidates the chance to own their piece of the American Dream,” said Jim Conlan, strategic deployment leader for Allstate’s Southern Re gion.

“We are searching for talented, motivated people with financial or sales backgrounds who are dedicated to customer service and interested in serving their community.

Additionally, to people who lead us to agents, we’re offering a $5,000 referral bonus.”

Allstate is unique among insurers because its agents own the economic interest in their business. Allstate agents can grow that interest and eventually sell it if they choose. No other branded insurer has this option.

Interested candidates can apply to become an Allstate agent by logging on to www.allstateagent. com or by calling 1-877-711-1015.

Available positions are located throughout the following areas: Shreveport, La.; Fayetteville, Ark.; Lexington, Ky.; Southaven, Miss.; Memphis, Knoxville and Nashville, Tenn.

Allstate also plans to add further to the Southern job market with 75 new positions for licensed sales professionals. A typical agency employs one or more staff members based on the size of their agency.

Licensed sales professionals play a pivotal role in driving business for Allstate agencies in growing markets like Shreveport. Interested candidates should have exceptional selling and customer ser vice

skills, a high school diploma and the ability to obtain or begin the process of obtaining a property and casualty license at the time of hiring.

Candidates are interviewed and hired by Allstate exclusive agents who are independent contractors for all purposes. Although licensed sales professionals represent Allstate, they are employees of the exclusive agent and not employed by Allstate Insurance Company.

Interested candidates can contact recruiter, Melissa Sandefur at 318.402.6065 or e-mail their resumes to her at msans@allstate.com.

The Louisiana Legislature just completed a “do nothing” session that proved to be a stalemate towards solving the state’s financial crisis. A new regular session has begun with few signs that anything substantive will come about. By law, no new tax matters can be considered in this even numbered year.

Flurry’s second objection to the ordinance is the requirement that permit application for cell towers must be reviewed by the city’s independent expert consultant. The city has been working with a national consultant who has a track record of requiring unreasonable, expensive requirements for cell tower installations.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
