Library sets block party Saturday

The Broadmoor Branch of the Shreve Memorial Library will team with the Broadmoor and Captain Shreve neighborhood associations to host a block party Saturday, April 22 from noon to 4 p.m. in the library parking lot, located at 1212 Captain Shreve Drive.

The public is invited to attend and meet the neighbors.

Inside the library, two movie showings will take place back-to-back. “Moana” will be shown at noon, followed by “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” at 2 p.m. Both showings will be held in the large meeting room. Popcorn and beverages will be served. A photo scavenger hunt highlighting local businesses and landmarks will also run all day inside of the branch.

The event will also have local food vendors outside, including ice cream, po-boys, specialty burgers and hot dogs available for purchase.
