Suspect arrested in triple slaying

A local man is in custody this afternoon in connection with a triple murder in west Shreveport last week.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit arrested 57 year old Tommy Wilson, of the 1000 block of Lafourche Circle, in connection with the July 18, 2013 stabbings that claimed the lives of 78 year old Irene Ellison, her daughter, 41 year old Carise Ellison and 58 year old Bryan Wilson. The bodies were discovered last Thursday after Shreveport Police received a frantic 911 call just before 10:00 p.m. from a family member who had come home and found all three victims deceased in the residence.

Investigators have been tirelessly working around the clock in an effort to identify and apprehend the person or persons responsible for this heinous crime. Based on evidence recovered at the scene of the crime as well as other information gathered during their ongoing inquiry, detectives were able to identify Wilson as the suspect they believe killed the victims. Wilson, whom police believe is a former boyfriend of Carise Ellison, is currently being interviewed by authorities and will be booked into the Shreveport City Jail on three counts of second degree murder. His bond has been set at $1,500,000.
